iFilm TV to start airing ‘Years of Snow and Violet’

Iranian series ‘Years of Snow and Violet’ has been set to go on air on iFilm English TV.

Airing of the series, directed by Saeed Soltani, will start on Monday, January 30, 2023.

‘Years of Snow and Violet’ is about a young man named Ali who returns to Tehran after spending years abroad, studying agriculture, but he doesn’t want to stay.

He has fond memories of the childhood he spent in his family garden in a nearby village, and he wants to move back there to rejuvenate it. He also has grand plans of establishing an agricultural institute in the village, but things don't go as smoothly as he had hoped.

He gets himself into trouble as soon as he gets there when he tries to stop a fight, ending up beating one of the henchmen of a local landlord they call the General who controls the police and runs the village as if it was his own.

Notable on the cast list are Atash Taqipour, Jahangir Almasi, Amir Aqaee, Laleh Eskandari, Mehdi Faqih, Sam Derakhshani, Azita Lachini, Nafiseh Roshan, the late Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, the late Mohsen Qazi-Moradi, Shabnam Qolikhani, and Rahim Norouzi.

‘Years of Snow and Violet’, made in 2007, is scheduled to replace ‘Third Sense’, to be aired daily at 18:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the social drama on the next day at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00. The series comprises 20 episodes.
